State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been aggressive in its drive to add a new range of plans and features to its existing plans in a bid to retain its customers and ward off competition from the likes of Airtel and Reliance Jio.

BSNL has recently come out with a range of offers and freebies for its customers during festivals. It had even come out with an offer for the monsoon season. Now the state-owned operator has unveiled a mega bonus to all its users in the form of additional data for the ongoing festival season. This month is peppered by various festivals including ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ and ‘Dussehra’. On account of this festive season, the company is offering all of its prepaid users an additional mobile data of 2.2GB per day during this period.
The additional data of 2.2GB will not replace the existing mobile data of the users and will instead supplement it. This means that users will receive 2.2GB of mobile data over and above their existing data limit, according to their base plan. The festive bonus will go live for users across the country from September 16.
Users who have subscribed to BSNL’s prepaid plans like the Rs. 186, Rs. 429, Rs. 485, Rs. 666 and Rs. 999 plans can avail the additional data from the state-owned operator. The validity of this offer is sixty days. The offer is also extended to users that subscribe to STV packs such as Rs. 187, Rs. 333, Rs. 349, Rs. 444 and Rs. 448.

The company’s Chairman cum Managing Director, Anupam Shrivastava commented “We are offering attractive plans & scheme from time to time to our esteemed customers. In this coming festive season of ‘Shri Ganesh Chaturthi’ , ‘Navratri- Durga Puja-Dussehra’ and ‘Diwali’ etc. We have come up with this ‘Festive Offer’ with increased benefits.” This move will be a long way in acting as a goodwill to several of its users, who would be looking to receive some freebies from the telecom operator.

Hot on the heels of the ‘Eid Mubarak’ offers and the Monsoon Offers the state-owned operator has come out with the bumped holiday season offer. In fact, the additional data benefit seems to be a continuation of the Monsoon Offer that has been providing 2GB additional mobile data until September 15.
