Google recently announced its cloud storage solution — Google One–and asked users to merge their Google Drive. Google One comes as a unified cloud storage space for all the activities starting with photos backup to docs, sheets and every other Google related service.
The new cloud storage from Google uses the existing 15GB of free storage space from Google Drive and also let users buy more storage space, just like any other online cloud storage service. Steps to backup Android smartphone
1.Head to Google Play Store and download Google One app
2.Open Google One app and login using Google ID and password
3.Choose the storage plan
4.Now, at the Home section of the app, tap on Backup now option
5.It will then ask you to choose content you want to backup
6.Make the selection and hit Next button
7.Again tap on Back up now button to start the process
8.Wait for it to complete.
Steps to restore backup
- Under Home section of the app, look for Restore option
- Tap on Restore backup
- It will then show all the available backup data, tap on the Restore button in front of each section to start restoring process.
Do note that the base storage is only 15GB and anything above that will require users to purchase additional storage space.
