Meizu M5 Note unveiled in China with Helio P10 SoC and 4,000mAH battery

The Meizu M5 Note has leaked quite a bit in the past and the company finally announced the smartphone yesterday at an event in China.

The smartphone features an all metal finish and is placed as a budget device. The company announced three variants of the device,  3GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Pricing for the smartphone is CNY 899 (Rs 8,900 approx), CNY 999 (Rs 9,900 approx), and CNY 1,499 (Rs 14,900 approx). All the variants come with a microSD card expansion slot supporting up to 128GB of cards.

 The Meizu M5 Note comes with a 5.5-inch full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display. Inside there is a 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor with a Mali T860 GPU. There is a 13MP camera at the back with an f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. At the front, there is a 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens to take selfies.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, hybrid dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, and GPS support. The battery is rated at 4,000mAH with mCharge fast charging support that is said to fully charge the phone in 90 minutes. Other features include Flyme OS 6 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home Button that is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. It will be offered in Grey, Silver, Champagne Gold and Blue colour options.
