NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio through a feature is allowing users to suspend their SIM card for a period of time, thereby helping those who lose their Jio SIM card. The feature can be accessed from the company’s official website www. Jio.com/myaccount.
Jio users are required to login to their Jio account where they see an option called ‘Suspend and Resume’. The feature gives users two options to choose from: SIM Damaged and SIM/Device Lost. The SIM card gets suspended immediately after choosing one of the options.
The Resume option gets enabled only after the suspension of mobile number and the services can be resumed instantly as well on choosing the option.
According to a Telecom Talk report, the new feature will soon be live on ‘MyJio’ app as well. Currently, Jio is the only operator offering this feature to its users.
